Incredible Light Spectrum 2023. Typically, the human eye can detect wavelengths from 380 to 700 nanometers. To the right of the visible spectrum, we find the types of energy that are lower in frequency (and thus longer in wavelength) than visible light.

Essentially, that equates to the colors the human eye can see. More simply, this range of wavelengths is called visible light. Web visible light is but one example of a much broader set of phenomena—an electromagnetic spectrum with no theoretical upper or lower limit to frequencies and wavelengths.
